Twenty years, one promise.
Marzex founded Marz Innovations in 2005 and found the first clients the analog way: ads in the weekly mailer envelopes that landed on every kitchen counter in town. When search engines started deciding who got found, we were early to SEO, and clients started finding us instead.
During the recession, Marzex took up residency at The Idaho Foodbank, running marketing and communications from 2008 to 2012. Helped rebrand the organization and its programs. Rebuilt its website with a custom CMS, an online donation system, and donor data with real reporting. Online giving went up three times over previous giving seasons. Helped launch the Idaho Food Bank Fund and other community programs, and created and produced a professional PSA, which starred his two children. Website, brand, social, print, data systems: one seat carried all of it, while building Marz Innovations in parallel toward the subscription-based marcom business it became in 2012.
That was the model. Marz Innovations came out of those years reformed around it: a managed services company providing marketing communications for small business and hotels. One subscription covering many responsibilities: the website, the content, the reputation, the email, the print, the tech support. Handled continuously, not billed as surprises. Similar to an IT model, but for marcom.
It still holds. What changed is the machinery. Today the same model runs as structured tiers under our virtucom.net service, our managed-services cog, with automation and AI we build in-house doing the repetitive work so people can do the judgment calls.
The company itself hasn’t changed shape at all: private, referral-built, small-business-focused, and direct. You talk to the people doing the work, because there isn’t anyone else here.
